Contextual Theology introduces Christian theology through the lens of contextualization, emphasizing that both the Bible and theology itself are inherently shaped by cultural context. Students will explore how to appreciate and value cultural values within their own context while reconstructing Christian theology in light of the specific realities of Liberation, Asia, and India. By examining theological concepts in relation to the social, political, and cultural dynamics of these regions, the course invites students to rethink traditional theological frameworks and engage with the transformative potential of faith in addressing contemporary issues of justice, oppression, and empowerment.
